A woman of unknown ethnicity stands in a field of fall grass in front of a dark-blue sky. Her ebony hair, interlaced with traces of gray is twisted on each side into black ravens.

A huge escalator in New York with black silhouettes of men go up one side and down the other. The top of the escalator is open to a blue sky and a disembodied head floats in the opening.

A mottled yellow barrier covers most of the canvas. In the middle, there is a tear in the fabric and a pensive, young, female face peers sideways through the hole.
